Hi, I’m Regan McCarthy.
Regan McCarthy is a public media journalist living in Tallahassee, Florida. During her nearly two decades as a reporter she’s covered everything from latrinalia (writing on bathroom walls) to the decades-long fight over Florida’s state bird.
She regularly covers government, politics, healthcare and environmental issues. Regan strives to bring listeners into the story and introduce them to voices and perspectives they may not have heard before. Her reporting can be heard locally on WFSU as well as statewide and nationally on NPR member stations.
Regan is the recipient of several professional broadcast awards for investigative reporting, feature reporting, government reporting and use of sound.
When she isn’t tracking the latest stories, she spends her time needle pointing, reading and strolling through Tallahassee's many parks with her rescue golden, Chip.
